I first found out about JMK Genealogy Gifts in March of this year and posted about them. Then in August I found out about their "Hey Baby, what's your haplogroup?" design and posted about that because I thought it was funny.

The owner, Jimmy Kavanagh, then contacted me at the end of August to let me know about their new Halloween designs. I was flattered to be contacted by someone who thought I had enough traffic for advertisements. I thought it would be nice to help out their company so I did it happily. I was told about 2 other designs in October and posted about those as well. Genealogy shirt for the Old-Timers and Genealogy Hotspot. At none of these times did I say that I'd purchased from JMK Genealogy Gifts, just that I liked their design ideas. I wanted to give some free advertisement to their company.

Then Jimmy offered to send me a mug as a thank you and I happily accepted. I asked for the snowman design below:

It says "I must remember to lookup the snowman family on ancestry.com before I melt!...Have a successful genealogical holiday!"

So now I can actually give a review of their product since I have one. The mug is larger than I thought it would be. It is very sturdy and strong and I have enjoyed using it for the past few weeks. I like seeing the snowman each morning. The quote makes me chuckle too. At some point I would like to get a shirt or two and plan to put that on my Christmas list.
